The PG Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DSS) at Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science in Pollachi is dedicated to advancing postgraduate education in the field of Defence Studies. Strength of the Department
The Department of Defence Studies at SRC distinguishes itself through its comprehensive approach to preparing students for careers in both civil and uniform services. We provide tailored instruction to equip students for success in Civil Service Examinations and examinations for Uniform Services, spanning both central and state levels. The Rampart Association, a Defence Studies student organization, conducts various activities such as seminars, guest lectures, workshops, department activities, field visits, security sessions, and government exam preparation for students.
Job Opportunities
The PG Department of Defence Studies provides advanced learners with a comprehensive understanding of national security. This interdisciplinary program covers a wide range of subjects including Military Studies, Geography and Geopolitics, Technology and Science, Economics of Defence, and Conflict Resolution and Management.
Graduates can pursue careers in various branches of the armed forces such as the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as in paramilitary and security services like CISF, CRPF, and the Coast Guard. Opportunities also exist in government and public sector organizations such as SSC, Railways, DRDO, and IDSA.
