GENESIS OF THE COLLEGE
Sree Ramu College of Arts & Science was started in the year 1996 by Shri. S. Ramasamy Reddiar.It is a co-educational institution run by the RVS Trust. With 33 years educational experience, the Trust lays emphasis on the all round development of the students. It aims to make the students successful individuals and equip them to meet the challenges of the present information age. The College is situated on Pollachi – Valparai Main Road falling at N.M. Sungam about 30 km away from Coimbatore city. It has spacious classrooms, well equipped and modern laboratories, excellently stocked Central Library, and a Post-Graduate departmental Library with admirable collection of books, Auditorium, Academic Block, Administrative Block, and play ground with all Outdoor Games besides facilities for Indoor Games. The College is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and recognized by UGC, New Delhi under 2(F). Our College is one of the best self financing colleges in this area. The college is accredited by NAAC and an ISO 9001-2015 Certified Institution. It offers twelve UG courses, four PG courses, three Research programmes and certificate courses. At present the college has around 1000+ students.
